Investment Opportunity

Investing in Skin Scaffold Technology

Dermomat is building a platform of antibacterial, mechanotransductive biomaterials that don't just cover chronic wounds — they rebuild the biological environment needed to heal them.

One platform, two products, a multi-billion-dollar market, and a team with the science and clinical depth to translate it.

The Opportunity

A Growing market in healthcare

Chronic wounds are one of the most expensive and least-solved problems in modern healthcare — and the market for advanced solutions is large and growing.

$12B

Global advanced wound care market in 2025, forecast to ~$18–23B by the mid-2030s

18.6M

People worldwide affected by diabetic foot ulcers alone

The drivers are structural and accelerating: ageing populations, the global rise in diabetes and obesity, and more complex surgical caseloads. Advanced-stage ulcers can cost upwards of $50,000 per wound episode, and chronic wounds carry high rates of infection, recurrence and amputation. This is a market where better biology translates directly into lower system cost.

The problem with today's standard of care

Most products manage the surface; the biology stays stuck. The majority of wound-care products are passive — barriers that protect and absorb while waiting for the body to heal itself. In a chronic wound, that biology is precisely what has stalled, driving a costly cycle of repeat dressings, prolonged care, infection and, too often, amputation.

The gap in the market: a product that actively restarts healing rather than simply covering it.

Our solution

Dermomat's technology harnesses mechanotransduction — the process by which cells convert physical cues into biological responses. Our biomaterials mimic key features of the extracellular matrix to deliver structural support, antibacterial protection and regenerative signalling directly within the wound bed. In short, we engineer the wound's environment so the patient's own cells receive the signals to attach, migrate, build new blood vessels and rebuild tissue.

  • Promote cellular attachment, migration and proliferation
  • Support angiogenesis and tissue regeneration
  • Reduce bacterial contamination and infection risk
  • Accelerate wound closure
  • Improve outcomes in chronic, difficult-to-heal wounds

One platform, two products

A core technology that expresses as two complementary products lets Dermomat address a far wider range of wounds from a single scientific foundation, while sharing development, IP and manufacturing know-how.

Dermal Matrix

Antibacterial mechanotransductive dermal scaffold

A structured scaffold that supports the wound bed while actively guiding cell infiltration, vascularisation and remodelling. Targets diabetic foot ulcers, venous leg ulcers, pressure ulcers, burns and surgical reconstruction.

FlowMatrix

Injectable regenerative dermal matrix

A flowable matrix that conforms to deep cavities and irregular defects where fixed scaffolds can't reach, extending the platform into complex, hard-to-dress wounds.

Why Invest in Dermomat now?

Demand is rising structurally

Diabetes, obesity and ageing are expanding the at-risk pool faster than current solutions can serve it.

The science is ready

Mechanobiology, ECM engineering and tissue engineering have matured to the point of clinical translation.

Payers want outcomes

Reimbursement is shifting toward products that demonstrably close wounds and reduce downstream cost.
